Below you will find updates on National Police Week, my thoughts on Secretary Mayorkas' dereliction of duty at our southern border, updates on legislation to defund Biden's Disinformation Governance Board, and the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Honoring America's Law Enforcement Officers
This week, during National Police Week, we honor our nation’s law enforcement officers for their service to our communities. I was proud to join my colleagues for a press conference to recognize those who put on the badge and put their lives on the line every day to keep our families and communities safe.
I proudly stand with America’s law enforcement officers and remain committed to protecting their ability to carry out their heroic service!

Holding Mayorkas Accountable for the Border Crisis
I recently joined more than 130 of my House Republican colleagues to demand answers from U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Mayorkas for this administration’s intentional and illegal efforts to undermine the security of our southern border. His refusal to secure the border has created one of the worst humanitarian crises in American history that is only getting worse by the day. If Mayorkas continues to abandon his duty to secure the border, he will be held accountable and most likely impeached should we retake the House next January.
Defunding Biden's Disinformation Governance Board
I recently co-sponsored legislation to immediately defund the Biden Administration’s new “Disinformation Governance Board” within the Department of Homeland Security. This new bureaucracy is not only a waste of taxpayer dollars – it's an attack on our Constitutional rights and has every hint of potential corruption and exploitation. The federal government has no right to arbitrarily decide what is “disinformation” and control the narrative of truth, and any attempt to do so is a violation of every American’s First Amendment rights. Fighting for Life
Last week, we witnessed an unprecedented attempt to undermine the institution of the United States Supreme Court when a draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito regarding the Dobbs v. Jackson case was leaked to the media. This unethical breach is all about advancing a political agenda at the expense of our great republic and the rule of law.
If Justice Alito’s draft opinion holds and Roe v. Wade is repealed, the issue of abortion will be delegated to the states and their elected representatives. This is exactly where the debate to determine the legality of abortion should rightfully take place — by the people and not in the courts.
While we wait to learn the Court’s final ruling in the coming months, I will remain committed to upholding the value of every life and will continue fighting to protect the most vulnerable among us.
