WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman David Rouzer (R-NC), Congressman Dusty Johnson (R-SD), Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX), and Congresswoman Angie Craig (D-MN) announced the relaunch of the bipartisan Congressional Supply Chain Caucus.  Before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the bipartisan Congressional Supply Chain Caucus was created to work toward updating and improving the supply chain system.  At the time, the Caucus did not anticipate how ubiquitous supply chain concerns would soon become.  

Today, Americans are more aware than ever of supply chain challenges and the need for commonsense, bipartisan solutions.  Given the necessity of modernized, functioning supply chains to all Americans, the Caucus will collaborate to advance policies accelerating supply chain performance and efficiency to drive affordability, sustainability, and availability of products.

Congressman Rouzer and Congressman Johnson will serve as the Republican co-chairs of the Caucus alongside Congressman Allred and Congresswoman Craig, who will serve as the Democratic co-chairs.

"Every American consumer and business has been impacted by the ongoing global supply chain crisis," said Rep. Rouzer.  “Time is money.  Groceries have become the most expensive ever, infrastructure projects have fallen behind schedule, and American industries are struggling to keep up with delays and increased costs of moving goods through the supply chain.  There are a wide-range of factors that led to these supply chain disruptions, and I’m proud to join my colleagues in relaunching this bipartisan caucus to craft commonsense policy solutions to improve the supply chain delivery system."

The Caucus will partner with public and private stakeholders to educate Members of Congress and create a healthy dialogue around the importance of building an updated and healthy supply chain through comprehensive, bipartisan, and commonsense policy solutions.
